WE ARE IN DOWNTOWN LOVELAND WITH THIS CLASSIC 4 MILER

Sweetheart City Racing is excited to hold this year’s event once again. With a race start and awards in Downtown Loveland, it will be right in the center of the action of the Loveland Sweetheart Festival. You will love our new 4-mile race course along the Rec path as you leave Downtoen Loveland!

The race will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m. Racers will need to arrive early to ensure smooth parking (as it is limited) and an on-time start. Join us on February 10th, 2024 for a day full of fun, love, and fitness as we work to raise money for local High School and Middle School Cross Country teams.

Please check out our Race First Stop! It will have frequently asked questions and answers.

2024 Route for the Sweetheart Classic!

Redemption Church is in the heart of Loveland. They love being a part of community events. If you are looking for a church home, please give them a visit. They have a very welcoming environment and would love to see you there. Please check out their website to see all the different group gatherings and times.

Race First Stop:

  1. Is parking available? Yes. There is a free parking garage, downtown parking spots, and lots near the start/finish line. Start/finish line is near Cleveland and 4th.

  2. Am I guaranteed a shirt? To be guaranteed a shirt you must register by Jan 30th. We always order extras but register early to guarantee you get one! We always have other swag available if we run out of shirts.

  3. Is there race day registration? Yes. ALL registration is online. If you want to pay with cash or check please see one of the volunteers to assist you. Price goes up on race day. Please see the pricing on the registration link.

  4. Will you cancel the race if it’s cold, snowing, windy or rainy? No. We will hold the event rain or shine. Lightening will delay the event, but that chance is very, VERY slim.

  5. Where is Pre-Race PACKET PICKUP? Redemption Church in downtown Loveland, Friday, February 10th, 5:30pm-6:30pm. You can pick up LIVE and VIRTUAL packets here. We encourage you to pick up your packet on Friday night and not race day.

  6. Race Day Packet pickup will be held 1:30pm-2:15pm at Sports Station on the pation. Look for the huge arch on 4th St.

  7. Where can I pick up my virtual packet? If you have not picked up your packet at any available times listed above, we will take the virtual packets to a sponsor’s place of business and contact you through email. If you would like it mailed, please choose the add-on “P&H for Virtual packets” when you register. Those needing to be mailed will be mailed the following week.

Info if you are bringing your dog!

Dog Info:

We have had a few mishaps with the races from last year so we want to make sure everyone knows the rules. We LOVE seeing all the fur family members out on course and at our events. If everyone can follow these rules we can continue to allow them.

1. Dogs must remain leashed AT ALL TIMES. IF anyone is caught with their dogs off-leash, you will be disqualified from the race and they won't be allowed at any other event.

2. They must be friendly. We had a young kid get nipped at and you can see the problems this creates. They must be friendly and well-behaved.

3. Be aware of all people around you. We don't want people getting tripped by leashes or knocked over by dogs.

4. Leashes should be 6ft or shorter. In the starting shoots, please starts at the back of the pack and have them very short-leashed/right next to you. Folks need to hear the pre-race briefing, so please try to keep them from barking during that time.

Poudre Pet and Feed Supply will be set up with goodies and they will have their treat truck! Treats usually range from $1-$4.

If you are needing any outdoor sports or equipment, use this link to shop at Scheels. 5% of purchases will go to our scholarship fund! This scholarship will be awarded to a local senior. The first scholarship will be awarded in the spring of 2024.
