With over 150 runners expected and even more spectators, this will be an amazing year for the 43rd Valley 5000, hosted by Sweetheart City Racing. This run/walk will begin in Mehaffey Park on August 2, 2025 at 8:00am. Our new Non-Profit Partner for the Valley 5000 is FCA - All Abilities! Stayed tuned for more info. It is another local non-profit we are excited to partner with.

Exciting update for the Valley 5000 runners! We’re kicking off things with a faster, smoother start - no more grass! The race now begins on solid concrete, giving you the perfect launch into the same great course you know and love!

The new Tour of Loveland Bike Ride, now part of the Valley 5000, will take riders on a scenic ride around Loveland. Riders will be supported with 3 aid stations along the route. Riders will get a shirt and a bike bottle to kick off their ride!

New event for the Valley! We are adding Tour of Loveland bike ride. This is a casual type ride with aid stations along the way. We will have something special for those entered.

Race First Stop:

  1. Is parking available? Yes. There is parking on Rio Blanco and all parking lots at the park. Please don’t park on the west side of Rio Blanco. This will be part of the course for the 5K. There is a parking lot off 29th and 22nd. There is LIMITED parking in the lot of off 22nd.

  2. Am I guaranteed a shirt? To be guaranteed a shirt you must register by August 3rd. We always order extras and you will see inventory when you register. We always have other swag available if we run out of shirts.

  3. Is there race day registration? Yes. ALL registration is online. If you want to pay with cash or a check please see one of the volunteers to assist you. The price goes up on race day. Please see the pricing on the registration link.

  4. Will you cancel the race if it’s cold, snowing, windy, or rainy? No. We will hold the event rain or shine. Lightening will delay the event, but that chance is very, VERY slim.

  5. If you are a Veteran or First Responders, please contact us for a discount code. Thank you for your service.

  6. The 5K starts at 8am! New start time!

  7. Pre-Race Packet Pickup: There will not be a pre-race packet pickup. You can pick up your packets 45 min prior to your race start time at MeHaffey Park on Aug 2nd.

  8. Do you have awards for the Valley 5000? Yes! Here is the breakdown:

    Overall - top 3 male and female, custom-made medals and local gift cards

    Masters Overall - top 3 male and female, custom-made medals and local gift cards

    Age Divisions - top 3 male and female: (custom-made medals and gift certificates to local businesses)

  9. Do you have awards for the bike ride?: No. This is a fun t-shirt ride and meant for enjoyment. Each participant will receive a bike bottle along with a t-shirt and all the fun stuff that goes with the 5K.

  10. Are there aid stations on the ride? Yes! You will have three aid stations to keep you fueled throughout your Tour of Loveland Ride.

    Here are the locations: #1 CR 11C and the bike path before you get into Boyd Lake. #2 Denver Ave and 18th St, north side of 18th on the bike path, #3 Fairgrounds park on the rec path before you go under Railroad Ave.

  11. Is there a time cutoff for the bike ride? Yes! Here they are: Be through aid station #1 by 9:45am, #2 by 10:30am, and be through aid station #3 by 11am.
